When I first met with and was hired by Sean & Sara their wedding was planned for September 22 at a venue in Lemont called Montefiori. Montefiori however was unexpectedly forced to close its doors after banks filed to foreclose on the property after the venue’s owners defaulted on a $3 million mortgage leaving over 30 Chicago area brides and grooms without a wedding venue (Brides-to-be left in lurch | Chicago Sun-Times). Fortunately you have to have a little rain in order to enjoy a beautiful rainbow.

Sean & Sara chose the Highland Park Community House to hold their ceremony and Exmoor Country Club in Highland Park for their luxurious reception. The couple couldn’t have asked for nicer weather and a more well executed and enjoyable day. Between their wedding ceremony and reception we visited nearby Millard Park for on-location bridal party portraits beneath a gorgeous canopy of changing autumn color.

Sean and Sara perfectly illustrate the old proverb, ‘the measure of one’s wealth is by one’s friends’. It was truly my pleasure capturing the geniune relationships unfolding within their family and friends.
