What a way to kick off my 2013 wedding season with two weddings in a row starting with Nora & Jim’s amazing Saturday in Chicago at one of my favorite reception venues, Galleria Marchetti. The weather was a perfect 70 degrees and the flowers were in full bloom. Jim, or as friends call him “Tank”, is a very lucky man who married into an incredible family and was surrounded by amazing friends for Saturday’s ceremony that took place in Beverly. Following the afternoon nuptials their bridal party of 14 including Nora’s sisters Therese and (maid of honor) Molly headed to Lincoln Park for photos. A wonderful outdoor cocktail hour surrounded by the city skyline lead to an elegant evening filled with fun and laughter. What an amazing day filled with friendly family, friends and a stunning and gracious couple. Thank you Nora & Jim for starting out my 2013 wedding season in such a marvelous manner!

Nora’s father, Martin McGarry, is a former boxing icon, Golden Gloves champ and owner of McGarry’s Boxing Club. Last February he was diagnosed
with Familial Amyloidosis, an extremely rare and fatal, hereditary disease. (above) Martin prepares to party by welcoming guests with Michael Buffer’s
trademark, “Let’s get readddddddddy to rumbllllllllle!”. You can help the McGarry family by donating at www.fightformartinmcgarry.org
