Summer Wedding Westin Lombard

Mary Kate and Dennis have known each other since high school but only started dating after college thanks to reconnecting at a mutual friends graduation party. The two compliment one another and share similar views on what is important in life. Family and friends play a big role in their lives which was evident by all the love that surrounded them during their summer wedding this June at The Westin Lombard Yorktown Center including their 12 person wedding party and guest list of nearly 300!

What were you most looking forward to at your wedding?

“Everything!” exclaims Dennis. “Celebrating the day with our closest family and friends, seeing the end result of the flowers, the cake, and the venue, spending time with our friends on the party bus. It was amazing to finally see the end result after hours of planning and preparation.” The two were surprised at just how quickly the day flew by. “We knew from other couples that this would be the case, and promised each other we would cherish each moment, and just take it all in and have fun.”

Who made your day unforgettable?

Even though the weather outside that day during our portraits at the Morton Arboretum was 95°f, Mary kate credits the couple’s wedding party as being their MVPs. It was the couple’s parents though that truly touched them. “Our parents were so helpful and made sure we didn’t have anything to stress out about. They made sure everything was seamless. ”

Advice to couples planning their wedding:

“Go big!” says Mary Kate. “This is the one time you have to celebrate you, and you’ll never get to do it again.”
